Less time planning. More time fishing.

Canada's fishing rules are split across governments, documents and seasons. We put them on one map.

Fishing regulations should be simple.

Whether you fish every weekend or a few times a season, you should be able to understand what the rules allow. ReelRegs is building a platform for fishing regulations, connecting rules to the waters, species, dates and activities they govern.

Our first product is for recreational anglers in British Columbia, across freshwater, salmon and tidal waters. It brings regulations, in-season changes, conditions, forecasts and planning tools together around a map of more than 160,000 rivers and lakes spanning every province and territory.

Reel Regs Inc. is an independent Canadian company based on Vancouver Island.

How we work

Accuracy is the product
The Province of British Columbia and Fisheries and Oceans Canada are the authorities. Where we disagree with one, it is correct and we are wrong. Every water, salmon river and tidal subarea carries a control to report a rule that looks off.
Independent
Funded by our customers, not advertisers or the sale of user data. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency.
Your record is yours
The catch log is private to your account and never sold. Export the whole of it to CSV whenever you like, and delete your account and everything in it from your own settings.
One product, every region
Regions are added to the product, not sold separately. What we carry today is free in all three fisheries.
